Call of Duty 2014 verified, but with a new cause developer

The next Call of Duty activity, verified for later this season, will be designed by Sledgehammer Activities, becoming a member of Treyarch and Infinity Keep in what is now to be a three season growth design for COD games.

The information came as aspect of Activision’s trader call, and it represents what is probably the greatest behind-the-scenes move in the Call of Duty series up to now – apart from Infinity Keep dropping several associates of its studio room, such as its creators, following a unpleasant lawful argument with Activision.

Ever since the discharge of Call of Duty 2, Infinity Keep and Treyarch have been changing growth on the series’ primary produces, with each studio room getting two decades to make its game, thus guaranteeing that a new Call of Duty headline can hit racks each season. Yearly produces will likely stay, but now each designer will have three decades to perform on their specific Call of Duty game.

It was always believed that there would be a Call of Duty launch in 2014, but this is the first formal verification. With Sledgehammer operating on the 2014 game and Infinity Keep behind last season's Spirits, it’s likely that Treyarch will be accountable for the Contact of Responsibility launch in 2015. Infinity Keep would then make for 2016, and the design would totally reset in 2017 with Sledgehammer again.

Sledgehammer is a relatively new studio room, established by market veterinarians Eileen Condrey and Glen Schofield. The couple took a significant threat and established their own studio room, then assisted to finish Contact of Duty: Contemporary Combat 3 following Infinity Ward’s huge exodus. Condrey and Schofield launched the following declaration after the information broke:

“Having the respect of creating the new, next-generation of Contact of Responsibility is a developer’s desire come real. All of us here at Sledgehammer Activities have a distributed perspective to make the best perform of our lifestyles. The next Call of Duty symbolizes a new era for this awesome series, and we look ahead to discussing what we have been operating on.

“Today is just the starting, there is so much more to come!”

There is still no term on what Sledgehammer is preparing, although it has been in growth for a while now, probably since the studio room finished perform on Contemporary Combat 3 this year. If the last Contact of Responsibility expose design is any sign, we should discover out within the next few several weeks.
