Micromax A200 with 4.7-inch HD display, quad-core CPU allegedly coming soon

Another Micromax smart phone is on its way. A twitter update from @MMXNewscaster shows there's a new Micromax A200 smart phone wearing a 4.7-inch HD show, in the works. A look at the specifications exposed by the twitter, and the A200 looks to be a mid-range system, and could be cost somewhere between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000.

While there's no verification from Micromax itself about the phone, MMXNewcaster has exposed some specifications. Do observe that this is totally a rumour at this time. The A200 will be operated by a 1.3GHz quad-core processer and 1GB of RAM. The chipset will most likely be MediaTek's. The smartphone contains 4GB on board storage space. Though the twitter update does not discuss extended storage space, we think that the smartphone will have a microSD card port. On the digital camera front side, the smartphone comes prepared with an 8-megapixel back and 5-megapixel front-facing camcorders.

According to the twitter update, the A200 will be 7.9 mm slim and comes with Gorilla Glass 2 protection. It will be driven by an 1800 mAh Li-Po battery power. There is no word on the Android system edition to run on A200, but presumably it could be Android system 4.2 or 4.3 Jam Vegetable. Based on the specifications, we can say that the A200 will sit below the ageing Fabric 4 in Micromax's profile and will likely be Micromax's competitor to take on the New samsung Galaxy grand 2.

Earlier this month, the company has released two sub-Rs 10,000 mobile phones – Fabric A77 Juice and Secure A61. The 5-inch Fabric A77 Juice features a 3000 mAh battery power and is costing Rs 7,999. The Secure A61 is an even less expensive, entry-level smartphone costing Rs 4,999. It's a dual-SIM phone (GSM+GSM) with double stand by support, 4-inch show and 1GHz Spreadtrum SC7710 processer along with simple 256MB RAM.
