Chromebase: LG's all-in-one pc that runs Chrome OS

LG Electronic gadgets has formally hopped into the Chrome OS industry. The electronics massive declared Tuesday that it would be introduction its all-in-one Chromebase pc during the future 2014 Customer Electronic gadgets Show.

"Simple to function for all types of customers, the award-winning LG Chromebase laptop computer or computer symbolizes the effective mixture of convenience, power and excellent design," LG's head of IT Company Hyoung-sei Recreation area said in a declaration. "LG Chromebase is the coming trend for desktop computer, predicted to be commonly implemented not only at house, but especially in educational institutions, resorts, telemarketer firms and other business configurations."

The Chromebase will have a full HD IPS show on its 1080p 21.5-inch display. It will come with 2GB of storage space, 16GB of storage space, and an Apple Celeron processer. Also involved will be a 1.3-megapixel web camera and mic for video contacting, 5-watt sound system, key pad, and a computer mouse.

The fact that LG has been working on a system to run Google Chrome OS isn't that amazing. In Jan 2012, the company finalized a deal with Microsoft company enabling it to use os patents for gadgets running Android system and Chrome OS. LG has also already joined up with Google to create the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 mobile phones.

"LG's Chromebase is an interesting new form aspect that increases the options available to clients who want a fast, easy and protected processing experience for the property, school or office," Google vice chairman of product control for Chromebooks Caesar Sengupta said. "LG Electronic gadgets makes excellent gadgets that clients love, and we're grateful to welcome them to the Chrome family."

There were clues in Oct that LG was planning some sort of Chrome OS system. It had registered for images on three titles that contain the phrase Chrome-- ChromeOne, ChromeDesk, and ChromeStation. The three images were detailed in the product category as "Laptop computers; Computers; Sports convertible computers; Tablets."

It's still uncertain when Chromebase will hit the customer industry or how much it will cost. Given the affordable prices of other desktop computer computers and notebooks that run Chrome OS, like Chromebooks, possibilities are the Chromebase won't be over-the-top expensive.
