Yahoo says recognized hacking effort on email accounts

Yahoo Inc said it had recognized a "coordinated effort" to gain illegal accessibility Yahoo Mail records using harmful software applications.

The organization said on its formal weblog that it considered that the assailants were trying to accessibility the records using qualifications that had been acquired from a violation of another organization's user data source. It did not recognize that organization.
