That was fast: Chrome Applications prepared to go mobile

The cold, hard surfaces between mobile local programs and HTML5 wobbled a bit on monday morning hours, as Google declared that Chrome Apps will now perform on the two most popular mobile systems.

Chrome Apps are HTML5-based single-serving programs, more than just a simple Web site, that will continue to perform on Ms windows, Mac, and Chrome OS without having to open your web browser first. However, because they're centered in Chrome and can't operate without it, they've been belittled for "breaking" the Web.

Google started out up a designer review of the Apache Cordova "toolchain" for covering Chrome Apps in rule indigenous to Android system and iOS. It's not perfect, but it allows designers more easily obtain the Sacred Grail of writing rule once and posting everywhere. After using Cordova, app creators will be able to post their programs to Google Play and the Apple App Store. Google first exposed that Mobile support for Chrome Apps was coming at the end of last year.

Google software professional Phil Remember said that the Cordova toolchain "provides a simple work-flow for increasing the achieve of Chrome Apps to customers on Mobile systems."

Cordova allows designers create programs in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, then parcels the app in the local programming 'languages' for iOS and Android  system, linking APIs from HTML5 to the local rule as best it can. Since it's only being launched as a designer review right now, designers can anticipate developments in Cordova.
