Android operating system KitKat upgrade revealed as activations successfully pass 1 billion

In what appears to be the first product positioning os, the latest edition of Google Android os software is being known as after a preferred cure of Search engines engineers: Kit Kat.

Branding the Android os upgrade, edition 4.4, with the name of Nestle's popular candy bar came as a big surprise to Android os viewers, as Search engines had said the next edition would be called Key Calcium Pie.

The statement came as Search engines verified Android os had exceeded 1 billion dollars device activations globally.

"Huge thanks to the entire Android os community from the components producers, processor makers and providers to the designers and content makers to all of you – our Android os users around the world – for making this possible," had written Google head of Android os and Firefox, Sundar Pichai, on Google+.

Since 2009, Search engines has known as each Android os launch after some kind of cure, with previous editions such as Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Food and Jam Vegetable.

But the names of all these snacks were all common, with KitKat tagging the first time a specific brand name was invoked.

Most Search engines workers only found out about KitKat when a massive sculpture of Google Android os pet made out of KitKat cafes was revealed on the organization's Hill View, Florida, university.

And be prepared for Android os KitKat cafes coming to racks near you. Nestle plans to deliver more than 50 million Android os KitKats to shops around the world, although only 500 will be available in Sydney.
